MOUNT VERNON — Marjorie A. Boyle, 94, of Mount Vernon passed away Saturday evening, May 1, 2010, at the Emeritus at HillenVale in Mount Vernon surrounded by her caring family.

She was born Dec. 30, 1915, in Canton, a daughter of the late Curtis and Ida (Ludi) Moore. Marjorie was a retired registered nurse for the Ohio Eastern Star Home in Mount Vernon. She was a member of the Gay Street United Methodist in Mount Vernon and was a former member of the Pythian Sisters. Marjorie loved to travel after her retirement.

Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Patricia Gascoigne of Hudson, Barbara Olmstead of Fountain Valley, Calif., Carolyn Watson of Burlington, Ky., and Loretta Lotz of Mansfield; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Moore of Mount Vernon.

In addition to her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Boyle, in 1968.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 4, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon. A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Dr. David A. Baker officiating.
