UTICA — A chapel service for Freda L. Addis, 78, of Utica, will be held Thursday, May 6, at 10 a.m. in Newark Memorial Gardens with Pastor Tom Myers officiating.

Freda died May 2, 2010, at The Laurels of Mount Vernon. She was born April 27, 1932, in Washington County, Ohio, to the late John and Bertha M. (Gheen) Sharp. Freda retired as a health aid after many years. She loved homemaking and her flower garden.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, John R. Addis of Utica, whom she married June 25, 1952; sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Chizuko Addis of Utica, William Addis of Pataskala, David and Cindy Addis, Robin and Kay Addis, both of Mount Vernon; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Carl and Linda Sharp of Hillsboro, Don and Connie Sharp of Heath; sister and brother-in-law, Lucille and Dana Wymer of Columbus.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Bill, Homer and Freddie Sharp.

Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N Main St., Utica, is assisting the family with arrangements. Visit to extend condolences to the family.
