SALTVILLE, Va. — Stewart L. “Stu” Johnson, 51, died May 2, 2010, in Bristol Regional Medical Center.

Stu was born Oct. 31, 1958, in Mount Vernon, Ohio. He was a U.S. Army veteran and an avid Harley rider.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Johnson; son, Brandon Johnson and daughter, Leslie Johnson of Saltville; mother and stepfather, Reba and Lowell Borchers of Mount Vernon, Ohio; brother, Kevin Johnson of Mount Vernon, Ohio; sister, Patty and Bob Perri of Tampa, Fla.; two special brothers-in-law, Roger and Rick Stewart; special cousin, Gary Whitt and Gerald Ray and many biker friends; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Stewart Johnson.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, May 5, at D.R. Henderson Funeral Home, Saltville, Va., with the Rev. Tim Surber officiating. The family received friends prior to the service. Graveside services were conducted Thursday in the Allison Family Cemetery.
