MOUNT VERNON — Tammy L. Kanarr, 45, of Mount Vernon passed away Saturday, May 8, 2010, at her home.
She was born Oct. 27, 1964, in Plainfield, N.J., daughter of Eleanor (Hartman) Kanarr McSherry of Knoxville, Tenn., and the late Stanley Kanarr. Tammy was an accomplished artist and enjoyed making jewelry in her spare time. She was a Protestant by faith.
In addition to her mother, Tammy is survived by her daughter, Cheyenne Proper of Mount Vernon; sisters, Kathleen Stringer of Mount Vernon and Molli Bradley of Maryville, Tenn.; and nephews and nieces, Thom Longino, Lea Stringer Brown, Jolene Stringer, Bill Stringer, Crystal Clevenger and Danielle Clevenger.
In addition to her father, Tammy was preceded in death by her daughter, Jasmine Rose Proper.
In following with Tammy’s wish, she will be cremated and the family will have a private committal service at a later date.
