PAULDING — Mary Louise Burgess, 94, died Thursday, May 27, 2010, at the Gardens of Paulding in Paulding.

She was born March 23, 1916, in Mount Vernon, the daughter of Floyd C and Esta J. (Shoults) Stephens. On June 22, 1935, she married Norman C. Burgess who preceded her in death on Aug. 8, 2001. She was employed by Sears, retiring in 1957. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Paulding.

She is survived by a daughter, Jacqueline (Sidney) Walker of Paulding; four grandchildren, Tracy Gunderman of Antwerp, Corey Walker and Chris Walker, both of Paulding, and Chad Walker of Independence, Ky.; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Kenneth Stephens; and a sister, Helen Grassbaugh.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 4, at 11 a.m. at First Christian Church, Paulding, with the Rev. Greg Bibler officiating. Burial will be in Paulding Memorial Cemetery, Paulding. There will be visitation one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
