WILLIAMSBURG, Va. — Barbara “Babs” Cattell Brantingham, 74, died May 25, 2010, at Patriot’s Colony Convalescence Center in Williamsburg, Va.

She was born Dec. 10, 1935, in Cleveland, to Everett and Catherine Cattell. Babs attended Cleveland Bible College (now Malone University), where she married John Paul Brantingham. In 1963, the family moved to Taiwan where she worked for 25 years as a missionary, speaker, writer, community leader.

Surviving are her sister, Mary Catherine; daughter, Jeanne Ming Brantingham Hayes; sons, David Everett, Jonathan Perry and Timothy James; and nine grandchildren.

A service celebrating her life will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Alum Creek Friends Church, 3385 Ohio 229, Marengo, where friends may call one hour prior to service. Pastor James Brantingham will officiate. Burial will follow in Alum Creek Church Cemetery.
