GALENA — Louise Fissel, 96, of Galena died June 1, 2010, at Kobacker House in Columbus.

She was born July 25, 1913, in Columbus to the late Raymond E. and Mary C. (Ropp) Fissel. She graduated Galena High School; taught Sunday school at Galena United Methodist Church; served as treasurer of Galena; and was assistant clerk at the Galena Post Office.

Also deceased are a sister, Dorothy Poole; and brother, Raymond Fissel.

Surviving are sister-in-law, Vonna Fissel; five nieces, a nephew, 12 great-nieces and nephews; 21 great-great-nieces and nephews; one great-great-great-nephew.

Friends may call Friday 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Galena United Methodist Church, 2777 Sunbury Road, where a service celebrating her life will be Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jeff Croft officiating. Burial will follow in Lithopolis Cemetery.
