MARENGO — Delbert A. Snyder, 83, of Marengo died June 3, 2010, at Heartland of Centerburg.

Born in Cardington on July 9, 1926, he was the eldest son of Frank Delbert and Olive Orral (Myers) Snyder. He was a 1945 graduate of Marengo High School and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. After the passing of his parents in 1961, he and his brothers, Stanley and John, carried on the family tradition and operation of Snyder’s Milling Service in Marengo.

Surviving are daughter, Brenda Keller of Marengo; son, Brian Snyder of Mobile, Ala.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

Also deceased are brothers, John and Stanley; and great-granddaughter, Jenna Keller.

Friends may call Saturday 5-8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home (Ohio 229) Marengo, where a service celebrating his life will be Sunday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Sue Antolik will officiate. Burial will follow in Marengo Cemetery with military honors.
