DELAWARE — Kathryn M. Cook, 83, former Galena resident, passed away Friday, June 4, 2010, at Sarah Moore Home, Delaware.

She was born Feb. 28, 1927, in Oxford Township to the late Archie E. and Myrtle M. (Gale) Knauber. A graduate of Ashley High School, she resided in Galena for nearly 60 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gale Cook; son, Donald T. Cook; brother, George Knauber; and sisters, Ruth Main and Millie Ward.

Survived by a friend, Mel Johnson; siblings, Dee Beardsley, Don Knauber, Jean Hines, Jane Wood, Dick Knauber; brother-in-law; as well as over 250 nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Tuesday, 5-8 p.m., with Rebekah Rites at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, where a service celebrating her life will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m., with burial to follow in Galena Cemetery.
