LOUDONVILLE — Betty J. Lewis Hunter, 93, of Loudonville died Saturday morning, May 22, 2010, in McMullen Assisted Living Center, Loudonville, after a brief illness.
Betty was born July 4, 1916, in Santa Rita Park, Calif., the daughter of the late Thomas Dean and Sarah (Acutt) Lewis. She was a resident of Oakland, Calif., most of her life before coming to Loudonville after retiring as the secretary of Melrose Baptist Church, Oakland. She was a graduate of Viola Bible Institute of Los Angeles with a degree in Christian Education. Betty attended Trinity Lutheran Church, Ashland.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Gordon Penner of Loudonville; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hunter, in 1985; her parents; and a sister, Anita Barber.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, June 15, at 11:30 a.m. in McMullen Assisted Living Center, Loudonville, with the Rev. Robert Pflueger and the Rev. Roy Godfrey officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Oakland.
