BELLVILLE — June H. Herron, 87, died Sunday, June 13, 2010, in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital.

Born June Hopelin Morse in New Cumberland to Roy and Coral (Mattison) Morse. During World War II, she served with the Navy Waves as seaman first class.

Surviving are her children, George Herron, Linda (Kelly) Chapman, Caroline (James) Miller and Richard (Cathy) Herron; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ilene (Richard) Ridenour and Virginia (Jay) Ellis.

Preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Banks, Geraldine Shirk and Marcia Harrison; and brothers, Elwin and Robert Morse.

Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home, where her funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. Pastor Dan Noe will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery, where American Legion Post 535 will hold graveside military honors.
