HOMER — A funeral service for Kathryn L. Bishop, 83, of Homer will be Wednesday, June 23, at 11 a.m. at Law-Baker Funeral Home with Bruce Hissong officiating. Burial will follow in Homer Cemetery.

Kathryn died June 19, 2010, at Centerburg Pointe Nursing Home. She was born Aug. 8, 1926, in Licking County to the late Eddie and Lela M. (Glover) Weiss. She was a member of North Side Church of Christ and retired from The Miller Co. Kathryn loved sewing and helping her husband build houses.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dane and Kay Bishop of Utica; grandson, Richard (Benita) Bishop of Walhonding; great-granddaughters, Molly Bishop and Jenette (Jason) Burnett; great-great-grandsons, Montana and Mason Burnett; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Bishop, who passed away July 14, 2006; brother, Paul Weiss; and sister, Isabelle Wiklinson.

Contributions may be made to Acclaim Hospice, 2800 Corporate Exchange Drive, Columbus, OH 43231. Friends may call Tuesday, June 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica.
