BELLVILLE — Hascal Ray Hatten, 80, of Bellville died Friday, June 25, 2010, at home.

Hascal was born Dec. 28, 1929, in Gilbert, W.Va., to Wayman and Bertie (Murphy) Hatten. Serving in the Army, he fought in the Korean War. He had worked for the Ford Motor Co., and attended Pleasant Grove Community Church.

Survived by his wife, Dicie (Francis) Hatten; sons, James and Gary Hatten; daughters, Teresa Leibee and Roberta Gangl; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Bonnie Jordan and Connie Staley; and numerous extended family.

Preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and four sisters.

Friends may call Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral, where the funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. The Rev. Ken Kinley will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery, where American Legion Post 535 will hold graveside military honors.
