NEW ORLEANS — Robin Floyd Brown, 48, passed away in New Orleans, La., on June 6, 2010, of heart failure.
Robin was born in Mount Vernon, Ohio, on Jan. 4, 1962. He grew up in Fredericktown, Ohio, with his parents, Robert A. (Peterman) Brown and the late Richard L. Brown with his eight siblings. He was a graduate of Fredericktown High School.
He is survived by his mother, who lives in Southport, N.C.; and brothers, Jesse of Ohio, Asa of Arkansas, James (Jim) and John of Oklahoma; sisters, Roxy Rowe of North Carolina, Lou Hernandez of New Mexico, Rachel Christian of Ohio and Nina Bosley of Kansas; and many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Robin served in the U.S. Army as a medic and was an electrician by trade in New Orleans. He survived the flooding of Hurricane Katrina with good humor and patience. He had a beautiful tenor singing voice and enjoyed cooking for his friends.
The family will hold a private memorial service.
