SHELBY — Paul E. Crim, 60, of Shelby, formerly of Mount Vernon, died unexpectedly at his residence on June 28, 2010.

He was born March 12, 1950, in Schenectady, N.Y., and was the son of the late John C. and Catherine H. (Costanzo) Crim. Paul was a member of the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, a mason with Mount Zion Lodge 9 F&AM, the Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus and with the Moose Lodge 422 in Shelby.

He is survived by his brother, Arthur (Marcia) Crim of Mount Vernon; nephews, Matthew (Doris) Crim of Mount Vernon and Christopher (Amanda) Crim of Carey; great-nieces, Cynthia and Cayman Crim; and his Irish Setter named Molly.

Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Crim, in February 2010.

There will be no calling hours. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Mound View Cemetery with the Rev. Karl Stevens officiating. Masonic services will be given by Mount Zion Lodge 9. The Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home, 212 N. Main St., Mount Vernon, is handling the funeral arrangements for the Paul E. Crim family.
