FREDERICKTOWN — William H. “Bill” Swaim, decorated Vietnam veteran, and avid hunter and fisherman, went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 28, 2010.

Bill, 62, fought cancer for two and a half years. He volunteered for the Morrow County and Hamilton Township fire departments for over 20 years.

Bill, preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy M. (Wells) and father, Herbert H., is survived by his wife, Irene (Sammons); two sons, Keith D. Pell, Norfolk, Va., and Aaron M. (Lori) Swaim; two grandsons, Matthew K. and Tristen H., Mount Vernon; sister, Mary C. (Roy) Wells, Heath; and many nieces and nephews.

The Snyder Funeral Home is handling the cremation. A memorial service will be held at the Fredericktown First Presbyterian Church on July 10 at 3 p.m. A luncheon will follow the service at the church.
