HOWARD — Samantha N. Perry, 30, of Terrace View North, Howard, passed away Monday, June 28, 2010, at her residence.

She was born Oct. 22, 1979, in Newark to Galen Perry and Denise Hurst. Sam was a 1998 graduate of East Knox High School and received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from The Ohio State University. She enjoyed photography and working with her computer on photo enhancing and was in the process of opening her own business named Selective Memories. Sam was loved for her creativity, quick wit, strength and passion for family, friends and animals. She was the light in the life of many close friends in their time of need. When they were in the shadows of life’s darkness, she brought them serenity and joy.

Besides her parents she is survived by her husband, Joshua Kramer; two sisters, Tracy Smith of Lake Charles, La., and Andrea (Marcus) McKay of Mount Vernon; a half brother, Galen (Sherry) Perry of Blacklick; half sisters, Dennise Ryan of Pickerington, Wendy (Terry) Perry-Ball of Etna and Kimberly Dunkle of Pataskala; maternal grandmother, Joyce Hurst; and nephews, James and Nathaniel Stimpert, and Dominic and Miles McKay.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Robert Hurst; and paternal grandparents, Woodrow and Dorothy Perry.

Friends may call Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050. The family will observe a private graveside at a later date.
