JOHNSTOWN — Raymond “Ray” Blair, 81, of Johnstown died Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at St. Ann’s Hospital, Westerville.

He was born June 4, 1929, in West Van Lear, Ky., to the late Acy and Mary (Grimm) Blair. A veteran of the Vietnam conflict, he served 21 years in the U.S. Army, retiring as staff sergeant. He then worked for Flexible Corp., Delaware.

Survived by his wife, Helen (Picklesimer); children, Mary Young, Janet (Michael) Baggett, Mark (Holly) VanHoose, Michael (Patricia) VanHoose, Tyra Jean Martinez and Krista (Trent) Bullard; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by brothers, Acy and William Blair.

Friends may call Saturday from noon until 1:30 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, where services will follow at 1:30 p.m. Burial with military honors will follow in Sunbury Memorial Park.
