PANAMA CITY, Fla. — W. Dolores Hines, 94, formerly of Mount Vernon, died Saturday, July 10, 2010, at the Panama City Nursing Center in Panama City, Fla.
Dolores was born Sept. 18, 1915, in Athens County, Ohio, to Charles B. and Myrtle M. (Ross) Felter and was a 1933 graduate of Hollister High School in Glouster, Ohio. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Hill Church in Mount Vernon and had worked at the Adventist Book and Bible House.
Surviving are her daughters, Joyce Wahlberg and J. Susan Hines, both of Panama City, Fla.; three grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and her sister, Myrtle Burdette of Spartanburg, S.C.
Besides her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Robert I. Hines; and sisters, Nellie Conaway, Hazel Hines, Lucille Phillips and Irma Rawson.
Funeral services for Dolores Hines will be Wednesday, July 14, at 2 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon, with Elder Fred Shoemaker officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours before the funeral service.
