MARENGO — Bobby Joe Housley, 72, of Marengo died unexpectedly Thursday, July 8, 2010, at his home.

With 12 siblings, he was born in LaFollette, Tenn., on May 15, 1938, the eighth child of the late Jim and Ethel (Shepherd) Housley. Originally from Columbus, he had been a Marengo resident for the last 32 years. Before retiring, he worked in the concrete trade with several companies.

Survived by children, Robert (Treena) Smith of Galena, Larry Ramey of Sunbury, Diane (Glenn) Tigner of Logan; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Esther Owen, Azalle McCullah and Yvonia Morell, all of Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Mary Carol (Jones) Housley, on April 15, 2010; and four brothers and sisters.

Friends may call one hour prior to today’s 7 p.m. memorial service at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at Ohio 61, Sunbury. Condolences may be expressed at
