MARENGO — Robert Eugene Arnett, 77, of Marengo died July 17, 2010, at his home.
He was born in Raven, Va., on Nov. 21, 1932, to the late Garrett Arnett and Edith (Hughes) Childress. Robert was a decorated U.S. Army Korean War veteran, a member of VFW Post 8054, serving in the color guard, and a member of Chester Masonic Lodge 238. He retired from the Kroger Bakery in Columbus.
Surviving are his wife, Ann (Damron); daughters, Angie Arnett, Amy (Aaron) Arnett-Tomasek; son, Gary (Barbara) Dryden, six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Also deceased are brothers, Garrett Jr. and Barney Arnett; a sister, Maxine Tuttle.
Friends may call Tuesday, 6-8 p.m., with Masonic service at 8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, where a service celebrating the life of Robert Arnett will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial with full military honors will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery near Chesterville.
