CANAL WINCHESTER — Betty R. McKee, 84, of Canal Winchester passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010, after a year of hospital stays, rehabilitation and illness. Her last days were spent at Mill Run Gardens and Care Center in Hilliard, where she had wonderful care and was able to maintain her pleasant attitude.

Born Dec. 11, 1925, she was the daughter of Roy and Bertha Styers of Mount Vernon. Betty was a graduate of Mount Vernon High School, member of Hope United Methodist Church, and retired from the J.C. Penney Co.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Paul McKee.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Debora and Joseph Blaho of London, Ohio, and Dixie McKee of Canal Winchester, Ohio; her grandchildren, Christopher and Benjamin Blaho, and Jameson and Kayleigh Keener; also her sister, Maxine Branneman of California.

Friends may visit Wednesday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, where funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Craig Arnold officiating. Interment in Franklin Hills Memory Gardens, Canal Winchester.
