MOUNT VERNON — Nedim M. “Dino” Totolaku, 84, of Mount Vernon died Saturday, July 17, 2010, at his home with several family members at his side.
Born Dec. 10, 1925, he was the son of Mefal and Fernidone Totolaku. He was a resident of Ohio for the past 55 years. Dino was a member of the Albanian Islamic Center in Detroit, Mich. He was the owner and operator of five taverns throughout Knox County. He leaves behind his loyal companion of eight years, Susie, his poodle.
He is survived by his son, Njazi Totolaku of Albania; stepchildren, Ella Jean (Major) Bowles, John (Helen) Sherrill, Connie (Tom) Willis, Jenny (Earl) Bacon, Jerry (Dixie) Sherrill, Rose Sawer, Mike Delane and Danny (Sherry) Delane; a grandson in Albania; stepgrandchildren, Lynn (Wyatt) Price, Glen (Missy) Price, Cindy (Dave) Wait, Bob (Tammy) Sherrill, Johnny Sherrill and Angie Masters; several stepgreat-grandchildren; niece, Ferzilet (Taip) Saciri; numerous cousins in Mount Vernon; and several friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy L. Totolaku; first wife in Albania; and a daughter in Albania.
Funeral service will be Thursday, July 22, at 10:30 a.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Friends may visit from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Hospice of Central Ohio for the excellent care given to Dino.
