MOUNT VERNON — Debra K. LaRue, 35, of Mount Vernon passed away July 23, 2010, at Knox Community Hospital surrounded by her family.

She was born July 15, 1975, in Mount Vernon. Debra was a member of the Millwood Church of Christ and graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

She is survived by her husband of 12 years, Steve LaRue; her infant son, Noah LaRue; parents, Bob and Carolyn (Hogle) Gruber of Mount Vernon; brothers, Melvin (Barb) Gruber, Carl (Vicky) Gruber and Tom (Olga) Gruber, all of Utica, Mike (Thelma) Gruber of Martinsburg and David Gruber of Utica; and her sister, Teresa Gruber of Newark.

An infant sister, Catherine Gruber, preceded her in death.

Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home, 212 N. Main St., Mount Vernon, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Evangelist Dave Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery.
