MOUNT VERNON — Henry C. Warden, 72, of East High Street, Mount Vernon, passed away Saturday, July 24, 2010, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

He was born July 25, 1937, in San Antonio, Texas, to the late George and Anna (Miller) Warden. Henry was a board member of the Community Concerts Association of Knox County and the American Federation of Musicians. Music, especially jazz, was Henry’s passion and he played guitar for the music group Good Company. He also was recorded in a Willie Nelson album. Henry was a veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force.

Henry is survived by his wife, whom he met in Bergen, Norway, and married on Aug. 31, 1978, Patricia (Margot) Warden; a daughter, Yaniny Valeska Warden of Mount Vernon; a brother, George Warden Jr. of San Antonio, Texas; and his mother- and father-in-law, Graciela Gonzalez Echeverria and Ramon Diaz Vilches of Santiago, Chile.

Friends may call Thursday, July 29, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home. A service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating.

The Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home is honored to have been chosen to serve the family of Henry C. Warden.
