FREDERICKTOWN — Martha J. “Martie” Munk, 76, of Fredericktown passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening, Aug. 1, 2010, at Riverside Methodist Hospital.

Born June 24, 1934, in Columbus, she was a 1952 graduate of Hamilton Township High School and 50-year member of the Groveport OES 440. She was formerly employed by Central Ohio Medical and Grant Hospital.

Preceded in death by parents, Herbert D. and Stella (Swan) Chandler; and brothers, Norman E. Chandler and Russell G. Chandler.

Survived by husband of 53 years, David A. Munk; sons, Rick (Merry) Munk of Marysville and David J. (Michelle) Munk of Centerburg; daughters, Nikki Munk of Plain City and Cindy (John) Roby of Plain City; grandchildren, Megan (Shanon) Terry, McKenzie Munk, Ricky Munk II and Sarah Munk, John D. Roby and Ashley Roby, O.J. (Melissa) Sancho, Jennafer Sancho, Drew (Kathleen) Sancho and Kiki Sancho; great-grandchildren, Taylor and one on the way; sister, Brenda (Edward) Steigerwald of North Carolina; nephew, William Brown of North Carolina; aunt, Robertie Porter of Columbus.

At Martie’s request no public visitation or service and private burial will take place at Union Grove Cemetery, Canal Winchester.
