HOWARD — Lucile E. Parker, 89, of Howard passed away Saturday morning, Aug. 7, 2010, at Knox Community Hospital with her family by her side.
She was born Dec. 18, 1920, in Gambier, a daughter of the late Harold and Pearl (Ross) Biggs. Lucile was a member of the Grove Church of Christ near Gambier and also attended the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Mount Vernon. She was an active member of the Harmony Class at Grove Church.
Lucile is survived by her son, Lonnie D. (Frances) Parker of King, N.C.; grandchildren, Shawn (Princess) Parker, Eden and Loren Uscilowski and Angela (Nathan) Southern; great-grandchildren, Kaleb Luke and Daniel Lee Southern; brothers, Robert (Betty Ann) Biggs of St. Louisville and Russell (Ruth) Biggs of Mount Vernon; sisters, LuLu Bone of Monroe and Mary (Don) Frye of Mount Vernon; a son-in-law, Vitold Uscilowski of Howard; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Lucile was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin L. Parker; a daughter, Rebecca Uscilowski; a grandson, Thomas Uscilowski; a sister, Hazel Scott; and a brother, Gerald Biggs.
At Lucile’s request there will not be calling hours. The family will have a graveside service for Lucile on Thursday, Aug. 12, at 11 a.m. in the Union Grove Cemetery near Gambier with the Rev. Sharon L. Kiesel officiating.
