UTICA — A funeral service for Dorothea Wisener, 93, of Utica will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Rick Rintamaa officiating. Interment will follow in Bell Cemetery in Utica.
Mrs. Wisener, a retired children’s clothing buyer for John J. Carroll Department Store, passed away Aug. 17, 2010, at Licking Memorial Hospital.
She was born July 26, 1917, in Knox County, the daughter of the late Charles A. and Tillie E. (Hays) Clutter. Mrs. Wisener was a graduate of Martinsburg High School. She was a member of Central Christian Church since 1966. She was a 75-year member of the Morgan Grange. She was a pianist and had played for 20 years in her previous church.
She married Edward Wisener, and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one stepdaughter, three brothers and four sisters.
Dorothea is survived by a stepson, Edward L. (Carol) Wisener of Wisconsin; a stepdaughter, Virginia (Tom) Gilbert of Illinois; a sister-in-law, Jean Clutter of Florida; eight stepgrandchildren; many stepgreat-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
