He was born March 12, 1935, in Mount Vernon to Aredus and Thelma (Heffelfinger) Peugh. He was a Navy veteran and retired from DCSC. He was a member of the U.S.T.A. and enjoyed his retirement as a Standardbred Trainer. He always looked hard for the heart in every horse.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jim; and sister, Connie.
He is survived by brothers, Chuck, Jerry (Carolyn) and Danny, sister, Barb, sister-in-law, Carolyn and their families; his children, Mike Peugh, Terry (Randy) Ingmire, Greg (Mary) Peugh, Diana (Timothy) Durant; and his grandchildren, Corine, Deidra, Jennifer, Colin, Shelley, Cameron, Grant and Madison.
Family will receive friends Thursday, Aug. 19, at the Myers-Woodyard Funeral Home, 518 Mainis St. in Groveport from 5 p.m. until time of the service at 7:30 p.m. By dad’s wishes he will be cremated and his ashes scattered in the woods where his race horse Miami Jewel, also succumbed to cancer, was buried. They both had a ton of heart.
