MOUNT VERNON — Nevadel M. Young, 75, of Mount Vernon, formerly of Zanesville, passed away Aug. 18, 2010, at The Laurels of Mount Vernon surrounded by her family.
She was born June 7, 1935, in Zanesville and was the daughter of the late Harper and Frieda (Brill) Miller. Nevadel had been a fifth-grade teacher for the Fredericktown Schools for 15 years and had worked for the Zanesville Time Recorder Newspaper as their NIE coordinator She also enjoyed shopping, bowling and playing golf.
She is survived by her son, Jay (Karen) Young of Pemberville, Ohio; and her daughter, Jalyn (Barry) Rine of Mount Vernon; four grandchildren, Zachary and Sammi Rine and Mikayla and Jessica Young.
Nevadel was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A. Young.
Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home, 212 N. Main St., Mount Vernon. Graveside funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery in Zanesville with the Rev. Keith Stuart, Ph.D., officiating.
