MOUNT VERNON — Mary J. Ritchie, 64, of Decatur Drive, Mount Vernon, passed away Sunday, Aug. 22, 2010, at the Ohio State University Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 4, 1945, in Littleton, W.Va., to the late Carl and Virginia (Anderson) Jobes. Mary was employed at the Mount Vernon Developmental Center where she was a therapeutic program worker for 30 years. She loved her job and her family.
Mary is survived by her son, Karl Ritchie of Mount Vernon; a daughter, Heidi Rousseau of Mount Vernon; a brother, Charles (Susan) Jobes of Canton; two sisters, Sandra (Lloyd) Keener of Mount Vernon and Carolyn (Thermon) Selman of Corsicana, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Ritchie; a daughter, Robyn Ritchie; and a sister, Patty Hoover.
Friends may call Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow beginning at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Shawn Vance officiating.
