HEATH — A funeral service for Mary Louise Gentry, 70, of Heath, will be held Tuesday, Aug. 31, at 10:30 a.m. at the Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service with Pastor Charles Mason and Pastor Tom Myers officiating. Mary passed away Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, in Newark at the home of her sister.

She was born June 15, 1939, in Newark to the late Walter Allen “Red” Osborn and Katherine Irene (Hahn) Osborn. Mary retired from Kaiser Aluminum after 20 years of service. She loved children and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. She enjoyed camping, crafts, crossword puzzles and playing cards, especially euchre.

She is survived by a son, Earl Carson “Sonny” Gentry III and favorite daughter-in-law, Bridget, of Mount Vernon; daughter, Mikela Irene “Mickie” Schoop and favorite son-in-law, Bruce, of Buckeye Lake; grandchildren, Joseph, Steven (Tooie), Amanda, Damien (Amanda), Phalen (Christopher), Trisha and Miles; great-grandchildren, Haylee Irene, Lania Irene, Allyssa and Alexis; sister, Julia Shaner of Newark; brother, David (Chris) Priest of Newark; special nieces, Michelle, Jessica, Miami and Brandi Betts, all of Newark; and many other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Osborn, Ora Priest and Danny Priest; and a sister, Bonnie Lake.

Friends may call Monday, Aug. 30, from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home, 59 N. Fifth St., Newark.
