COLUMBIA, Md. — Alice (Alspach) Babazadeh, 47, of Columbia, Md., and formerly of Howard, Ohio, passed away Friday, Aug. 27, 2010, at Howard County General Hospital in Columbia, Md.
She was born Aug. 10, 1963, in Grand Forks, N.D., to Willard and Bonalyn (Vandeberg) Alspach. Alice was a 1981 graduate of Danville High School and received a bachelor’s degree in business management and creative writing from Hiram College in 1985. She enjoyed scrapbooking and trips home to visit with family and friends at the farm. Alice was a member of the Society for Technical Communications where she held various leadership positions.
She is survived by her mother of Howard; her husband, William “Zach” Babazadeh of Columbia, Md.; a son, Cory Jones; three stepdaughters, Heather Babazadeh, Alexandra Babazadeh and Marissa Babazadeh; a grandson, Caden; two brothers, Brett Alspach of Columbus and Kevin (Sandy) Alspach of Howard; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home where a rosary service will follow at 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
