LOUDONVILLE — Carole Ramona Vess, 73, of 3277 Ohio 3, died Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010, at the Colonial Manor Health Care Center.

She was born Aug. 16, 1937, in Coshocton County to the late Frank and Martha (Robinson) Rhodes. She was a 1955 graduate of Danville High School. She was a homemaker, bookkeeper and part-time truck driver. She worked for her nephew for a short time on his pizza trailer. She loved helping to care for her three granddaughters.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence Vess of Loudonville, whom she married on Aug. 20, 1955; a daughter, Jackie Kranz of Loudonville; three granddaughters, Chris Kranz of San Antonio, Texas, and Erica and Jessica Kranz of Loudonville; and a sister, Sheila Puglisi of Ashland.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Harold and Harley Rhodes.

A graveside service will be Saturday, Sept. 4, at 11 a.m. in Workman Cemetery in Danville, with Dave Jones officiating. Visitation is from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville prior to the graveside service. Visit
