NEWARK — Helen (Kirkpatrick) Ridenour, 91, formerly of Columbus, and widow of Lowell G. Ridenour, died Sept. 1, 2010.

She is survived by two sons, James Ridenour of Columbus and John Ridenour and wife, Kathy, of Pleasantville; two granddaughters, Christina Ridenour of North Carolina and Lisa (Ridenour) Marton and husband, Scott, one great-granddaughter, Paige MacKenzie Marton, all of Thornville; one sister-in-law, Adeline Ridenour of Mansfield; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Maple Grove Methodist Church for more than 40 years.

Private graveside service will be held and burial in Ankenytown Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Columbus Cancer Clinic, 65 Ceramic Drive, Columbus, OH 43214; or Voice Corps Radio Reading Service, 2955 W. Broad St., Columbus, OH, where she volunteered many hours after her retirement from Division of Cardiology, Ohio State University Hospital.
