MOUNT VERNON — Michael Karpinski, 56, of Mount Vernon died Sept. 4, 2010, at his residence.

He was born Feb. 17, 1954, in Steubenville to Leo and Theresa (Yoka) Karpinski of Steubenville. He was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church, Men’s Club, AIA, volunteer for CEFPI, former member of the Knights of Columbus, Ombudsman for Catholic Social Services.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Terry (Taylor), whom he married Sept. 9, 1978; sons, Tod of Indianapolis, Craig of Bozeman, Mon.; brothers, Joe of Ravenna, John of Massillon, David of Hudson; sisters, Chris Dardis of Dayton, Mary Lee Aleksiejczyk and Lisa (Guy) Behanna, both of Pittsburgh.

Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 9633 E. SR 37, Sunbury, with the Rev. David Sizemore as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Resurrection Cemetery.
