COLUMBUS — Alice Golden, 95, of Columbus, died Aug. 29, 2010, at Wesley Glen Retirement Center where she had lived for the past 20 years.

Alice was born Nov. 22, 1914, in Union County to Nye and Florence Yarrington. She was a longtime member of North United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Charles E. Golden; two sisters, Reah Temple and Gladys Sharp; and three brothers, Paul, William “Ray” and Richard Yarrington.

Alice is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Charlice) Butz of Dayton and Mrs. David (Cheron) Moore of Mount Vernon; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Yarrington of Portland, Ore.

Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral service at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 10, at Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, 515 High St., Worthington, with the Rev. Paul Ernst officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Columbus.
