KILLBUCK — Carolyn Jean “Jeannie” Schodorf, 61, of Killbuck died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010, at the Holmes County Home after a declining period from Alzheimer’s disease.

She was born Feb. 10, 1949, in Millersburg and was the daughter of Clinton and Lorna (Carpenter) Neal. She was married on Oct. 27, 1985, to Gary Schodorf. He survives. She graduated from West Holmes High School, class of 1967 and Ohio University in Athens in 1971. She worked for several years at Landon’s IGA in Killbuck and then the last 12 years before her illness at the Holmes County Library. Jeannie was a member of the Welcome Church of Christ.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Kaitlyn Schodorf (Justin Snell) of Killbuck; three stepdaughters, Anissa (Joey) Judd of Shelbyville, Ky., Molly (Scott) Beavers of Versailles, Ky., and Mindy (Greg) Henson of Harrodsburg, Ky.; one grandson; eight stepgrandchildren; a brother, Larry (Helen) Neal of Walnut Creek; two sisters, Elaine (Ronnie) Landon of Killbuck and Marlene (John) Purtan of Wooster; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her in-laws, Gerald and Irene Schodorf.

Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with Pastor Roberta Fuller officiating. Burial will be at the Killbuck Cemetery, Killbuck. Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her honor to Hospice of Holmes County, the Holmes County Home or to the Holmes County Library.
