FREDERICKTOWN — Beatrice Serrino, 88, wife of Anthony Serrino of Fredericktown, formerly of Amherst, N.Y., died Monday, Sept. 27, 2010, at her residence following an extended illness.

Beatrice was born June 4, 1922, in Buffalo, N.Y., to George and Mary (Przyborwska) Wojciechowski and was a registered nurse. She was a member of Saint Gregory the Great, Roman Catholic Church in Amherst, N.Y.

Surviving are her husband, Anthony Serrino; her sons, Michael (Jeanine) Serrino of Knoxville, Tenn., Peter (Eula) Serrino of Spencerport, N.Y., and David (Susi) Serrino of Fredericktown; her daughter, Susan Houston of San Rafael, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Beatrice was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Lusk; and a sister, Eleanor Lippert.

Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon, OH 43050. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Mount Vernon, with Rev. Father Mark J. Hammond as celebrant. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Mount Vernon.
