MOUNT VERNON — Amber D. Shaw, 35, of Johnson Avenue, Mount Vernon, passed away Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon.
She was born May 26, 1975, in Mount Vernon to George and Rebecca (Rozewicz) Shaw. Amber was a 1993 graduate of Mount Vernon High School. She always had a smile on her face and befriended everyone she met. Amber will be sadly missed by many.
She is survived by her parents; a brother, Steven Shaw of Columbus; a sister, Sarah Shaw of Grafton; aunts and uncles, Daniel Shaw, Linda Rozewicz-Schiffel, Della Rozewicz, Margaret Rozewicz, Roscoe Rozewicz, Charlie (Anna) Rozewicz and the Rev. John Rozewicz; companion, Sean Burrows; special friend, Ralph “Joe” Johnson; and her canine companion, Peanut.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Leonard and Goldie Rozewicz; paternal grandparents, Clarence and Audrey Shaw; and uncle, Tony Rozewicz.
Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Apostolic Christian Church, 1635 Old Delaware Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050, where a funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Brother L.J. Harry will officiate. A graveside service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Mound View Cemetery.
