BELLVILLE — Lowell Lee Barton Sr., 73, of Bellville, died Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, in Liberty Care Center, Mansfield, following a long illness.
He was born April 28, 1937, in Mount Vernon, the son of K. Clay and Betty I. (Long) Barton. He worked as an engineer in the telecommunications industry for 50 years.
Survived by his wife, Jintana Barton, Ph.D.; his mother; six children, Lowell Barton Jr., Robert (Louise) Barton, Anthony (Jill) Barton, Kelvin (Carmen) Barton, Jenni (John) Blandina and Holly Barton; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; aunt, Margery Stoodt; and extended family.
Preceded in death by his father.
Memorial service will be Thursday, Oct. 28, at 1:30 p.m. in Owl Creek Church of the Brethren, Ankneytown. Pastor Douglas J. Pretorius will officiate. Interment will follow in Owl Creek Cemetery.
