FREDERICKTOWN — Mary E. Green, 93, of County Road 183, Fredericktown, passed away Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, at Country Court Nursing Center in Mount Vernon.
She was born Nov. 18, 1916, in Huntington, W.Va., to the late Roy and Pearl (Reed) Lockhart. Mary belonged to the Apostolic Church pastored by Greene Kitchen in Huntington, W.Va. She enjoyed crocheting and needlework but most important to her was the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving family, four sons, Herman (Ruth) Felty of Grove City, Ohio, Claude “Teddie” Righter of Reynoldsburg, John (Mary) Felty of Papillion, Neb., and Jerry (Bonnie) Righter of Fredericktown, a daughter, Pat (Van) Jarrell of Fredericktown; 18 grandchildren; many great- and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elsie Noe and Bertie Lou Blair, both of Huntington, W.Va.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Green; a son, David Righter; a grandson, Bill Felty; and two brothers, Virgil Lockhart and Melroy Lockhart.
Friends may call Friday from noon to 2 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown, where a funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. Pastor Richard Collins will officiate. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Chesterville.
