WALDO — Evelyn Cathleen (Napier) Baker, 86, of Waldo, passed away Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 9, 2010, at Grady Memorial Hospital.

She was born May 26, 1924, on Wilson Creek in Wayne, W.Va., to French and Elizabeth Napier. Evelyn loved to cook and sew and was a founding member of Christ The King Community Church of Fredericktown.

She is deeply grieved by her surviving family, sons and daughters, Muriel Goodman, Gail (O’Dell) Bills, Ronald (Shawn) Baker, Teresa (Gary) Okicki and Lucian (Jill) Baker; granddaughters, Sherry Lilly, Kimberly Hawk, Georgia Packwood, Tammy Watts, Nannette Baker, Elizabeth Camacho and Tiffany Skaggs; grandsons, Gallie Goodman Jr., Thomas Baker, Ronald Baker Jr., Daniel Baker, John Unkefer II and Stephen Baker; two great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Virgie Baker; and two brothers, Russell and Arty Napier.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Ezra Baker; a son, Raymond Dale Baker; son-in-law, Gallie Goodman; and 15 brothers and sisters.

Calling hours will be held at Christ The King Community Church, 15598 McClelland Road, Fredericktown, on Friday, Nov. 12, from 3 to 6 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Andy Freeman officiating. Further condolences may be offered in the church fellowship hall with a dinner following the service. Brief graveside services will be held Saturday, Nov. 13, at the Napier Cemetery in Wayne, W.Va.
