CARDINGTON — Herbert A. VanDyke, 68, of Cardington, died Saturday at Grant Medical Center, Columbus.

He was born July 13, 1942, in Columbus to the late Howard and Edith (Thompson) VanDyke. Co-owner and operator of Skyworkers Services.

Survived by daughters, Lury (Steven) Christian of Orlando, Fla., Kasandra (Brent) Gross of Marion and Kim Carr of LaRue; five grandchildren; brothers, Everett (Carol), Kenny (Marilyn) and Jerry (Lois); sisters, Linda VanDyke and Rita (Harold) Hamm.

Preceded in death by son, Peter; brothers, Walter and Gerald; and sisters, Genevieve Kelsey and Charlotte Sammons.

Friends may call Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St., Delaware, where services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Greg Rice officiating.
