HOWARD — Tina Rose B. Herrmann, 32, and Kody Alexander Maynard, 11, of Howard, were unfortunately taken away from us on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010.
Tina was a courageous and energetic woman whose greatest joy in life was being a mother. She worked at Dairy Queen in Mount Vernon and had the ability to connect with some of the simpler things in life, like blooming sunflowers or her dolphin collection. Her beloved son, Kody, a gentle child with an enormous heart, was a fifth-grader at East Knox Elementary School. He enjoyed all sports, especially baseball.
Tina and Kody will be missed by many loving friends and family: daughter and sister, Sarah Maynard; Kody’s father, Larry Maynard; Tina’s parents and Kody’s maternal grandparents, Raymond and Barbara Herrmann; Kody’s paternal grandparents, Larry and Esther Maynard; Tina’s brothers and Kody’s uncles, Eric (Trisha), William (Lisa Robey) and Jason (Tracy) Herrmann; Kody’s stepbrothers, A.J. and Payton Maynard; four nieces and four nephews; and many other dear family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 24, at 11:30 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 455 Clark State Road, Gahanna, where family will receive friends Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Pastor Kai Nilsen and Pastor Bill VanMeter will officiate. Interment in Glen Rest Memorial Estate. Arrangements by Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 614-939-4558.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made at any Fifth Third Bank to the Sarah Maynard Benefit Fund.
