She was born Dec. 1, 1926, in Wardensville, W.Va., daughter of the late Murat and Essie (See) Miller. Lenora worked for Richman Brothers in Warren as a bookkeeper. She was a faithful member of the Howard United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir. Lenora enjoyed spending time with her family and crocheting.
Lenora is survived by her loving husband of almost 53 years, Donald E. Mathias; children, Lawrence (Susan) Brill of Mount Vernon, Susan (John) Hill of Hubbard, Dr. James Mathias of Delaware and Julia Ann (Michael) Hagood of Vienna; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Winfred Miller of Needmore, W.Va.
In addition to her parents, Lenora was preceded in death by a brother, Trenton Miller.
The family will receive friends Friday, Nov. 26, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon, where funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 27, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Lee Cubie officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
