MOUNT VERNON — Zella Cullison, 95, of Mount Vernon, passed away Dec. 8, 2010, at Country Court Nursing Center surrounded by her family.
She was born June 29, 1915, in West Carlisle, Ohio, to the late Morris and Carrie (Hughes) Lease. Zella was a former house manager for 15 years at Interchurch Social Services in Mount Vernon.
Zella is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Owen) Farmer of Mount Vernon; a stepdaughter, Eloise (Eldon) Dickenson of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Dwight (Jamee) Farmer of Howard, Stephen (Sarah) Farmer of Gambier, Suzanne (Scott) Dapprich of Mount Vernon; stepgrandchildren, Brenda (Mike) Robinson of Killbuck and Larry (Pam) Kanuckle of Gahanna; great-grandchildren, Cameron, Kennedy, Kaitlyn and Cody; stepgreat-grandchildren, Cheryl and Sondra, a stepgreat-great-granddaughter, Onieta; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Waller, in 1947; and her second husband, Theodore Cullison, in 1976; a stepson, George Waller; sisters, Evelyn Waller, Opal Yantz, Lelah Holsky, Nancy Carpenter; and a brother, Lewis Lease.
Friends may call today, Dec. 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home, 212 N. Main St., Mount Vernon. Graveside funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in Valley View Cemetery in Warsaw, with Pastor William Fennell officiating.
