CENTERBURG — Oden Ball, 95, of Centerburg, died Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, at his residence.
He was born April 3, 1915, in Fort Gay, W.Va., to the late Alonzo and Cora Belle (Webb) Ball. He was a retired aeronautical design engineer working for Curtis Wright, North America Rockwell and McDonald Douglas.
Survived by his wife of 74 years, Dorothy (Lester) Ball; sons, Ron of Centerburg, Ken (Mickey) of Columbus; daughters, Deana (Jim) Mitchell of Florida, Jeri (Ron) Staats of Mount Vernon; 16 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by daughter, Wilma Bandy; grandsons, Brian and Ronald; son-in-law, Otis Bandy; daughter-in-law, Michael Ball; and eight brothers and sisters.
Friends may call Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, where services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. with Evangelist Fred Albrecht officiating. Interment will follow in the Eastview Cemetery.
