MOUNT VERNON — Ida Evaline Davis went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010.

She was 88 years old, born May 31, 1922, in Cornwallis, W.Va., to Bill and Mary Bunner. She graduated from Cornwallis School. She worked at Cuddy Farms of Danville, and was a member of the Danville Church of Christ.

Evaline was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph L. Davis; a daughter, Donna Kay Davis; brothers, Carl Bunner and Jim Bunner; and sisters, Maxine Cunningham and Ruth Bunner.

She is survived by her son, Robert (Inge) Davis of Bremen; daughters, Betty Rollins (Tom Dawson) of Napa, Calif., and Doris (Alvin) Keener of Danville; grandsons, Roger (Meredith) Lowther Jr. of Fredericktown, Bryan (Julie) Davis of Baltimore and Roy Davis of Bremen; granddaughters, Renee (Mike) Trosky and Michelle (Phil) Hamilton of Napa, Calif.; great-grandchildren, Cassie and Jessica Davis of Baltimore, Kyle, Devin and Erin Trosky, and Jackson, Lauren and Jordan Hamilton, all of Napa, Calif., Shalon McKim of Mount Vernon, Alta McKim and Walker Lowther of Fredericktown; one great-great-grandson, Marcus McKim of Mount Vernon; her brother, William Bunner of Pennsboro, W.Va.; her special friend, Bobbie Williams of Powell; and several nieces and nephews from Ohio and West Virginia including Don and Mary Bunner, Becky, Terry and Morgan Bernard, Kim, Travis, Kayla, Tina and Jeremy Fletcher, Peggy, Steve and Bryan Hockenberry, and Fred (Carol) Hart.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 17, at 11 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville, with Pastor David Spaulding officiating. Burial will be in Kaylor Ridge Cemetery off Ohio 514. Calling hours are Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family would like to give many thanks to Passport, Touch of Grace, Station Break, Hot Meals of Danville, the Danville Church of Christ Deacons who visited her, the Danville Fire Department, and helpers Tia, Tammy and Cheryl.
