CENTERBURG — Lula “Granny” Hess, 89, of Centerburg, died Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at St. Ann’s Hospital.
She was born in Perry County, Ky., on Aug. 20, 1921, to Jasper and Armilda (Branson) Young. She was a founding and 50-year member of Centerburg Enterprise Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carvet A. Hess; daughter, Kaye Hess; son-in-law, Michael Sheldon; and three brothers and five sisters.
Survived by her daughter, Brenda Sheldon; grandchildren, Randy (Stephanie) Bosworth and their children, Michael, Kayla, and Olivia, Rhonda (Neil) Watson and their children, Whitney, Jordan, Emily who is also a grandchild, and Morgan, Steve Sheldon, and Emily Hess.
Friends may call today from 5-8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, where services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. with her Pastor Mark Tuggle officiating. Burial to follow in Eastview Cemetery.
